Research that is accessible and just.
accessible
The Liberation and Justice Project Foundation conducts its own research and works with other organizations to provide free access to research. Research often studies communities that do not have access to their findings. Reports, articles, and books affect funding and resources flowing into areas in need. Community members should have access to research studies that are easy to read and not behind a paywall.
just
The Liberation and Justice Project Foundation wants to conduct ethical research and teach others how to work within communities without exploitation. Research conducted in Black, Indigenous, LGTBQ+, Asian, Latine, and all other marginalized communities often exploits its participants. Institutional Review Boards and ethics committees can only do so much to safeguard the protections of these communities.
Community members should be able to conduct research for their organizations. We collaborate with community organizations to teach them how to conduct research and provide resources on methodologies that cater to their community.
